What is diabetes?
Diabetes Mellitus is a chronic health condition where the the blood glucose (sugar) level in the body is higher than normal and the body cannot use the glucose effectively.

People with diabetes have too much sugar in their blood. Diabetes must be taken seriously. It is not just -'something to do with sugar.' It does not 'just go away'.
Diabetes can be managed and controlled with a healthy balanced diet, regular physical exercise, tablets / insulin injections or a combination of all the above.
